Effective July 28, 2016, Josephine Community Libraries has added 33,500 e-book titles to its online library catalog. Library cardholders are now able to place a hold and borrow both print and downloadable books through the library’s website, free with a library card.
As a public service, the library is offering free e-book workshops to demonstrate how to download e-books and audiobooks using e-readers, smartphones, and other digital devices. Upcoming workshops will take place on Wednesday, August 17 from 4:30–5:30 pm and Wednesday, September 7 from 4:30–5:30 pm at the Grants Pass branch, 200 NW C Street, and will cover basics on how to download electronic materials and other helpful hints.
Community members can also call the library at 541-476-0571 to set up an appointment to receive one-on-one help with specific questions. Registration for the workshops is not required.
The e-book collection, called Library2Go, is part of the Oregon Digital Library Consortium and is paid for annually by the Josephine County Library Foundation.
