As of Friday, December 30, 2016, volunteers working to support Josephine Community Libraries, Inc. (JCLI) have raised $178,312, surpassing their goal to reach $175,000 by the end of the year.
“We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from the community during the Yellow Envelope Drive this year,” said JCLI Resource Development Manager Rebecca Stoltz. “We are still accepting donations and every dollar will be used to keep libraries in Josephine County open in the coming year.”
As a nonprofit nongovernmental organization, JCLI receives no regular funding from taxes, and the libraries will have to continue fundraising throughout 2017 to maintain services for all residents of Josephine County.
The Yellow Envelope Drive is sponsored by Cauble, Cauble & Selvig LLP, Clouser Drilling, Edward Jones Investments, Grants Pass Friends of the Library, and Hart Insurance. Additional support for the drive is received from the Grants Pass Daily Courier and KAJO/KLDR.
