Monarchs and Milkweeds at the Library

Williams branch offers free family program

Families are invited to learn about the biology of monarch butterflies and how to create a pollinator habitat at a free program from 2–3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30 at the Williams branch located at 20695 Williams Hwy.

Participants will learn about specialized pollinator gardens called monarch weigh stations that create a “milkweed railroad” along their migration route. Dr. Tom Landis of Native Plant Nursery Consulting will be presenting.

Registration is not required. For more information, email info@josephinelibrary.org, or call the Williams branch at 541-846-7020.
