Register for the 2022 Summer Reading Program

To join the free Summer Reading Program, track reading accomplishments, and collect virtual raffle tickets, participants can register a Beanstack app account or login to their existing account if they have participated in past library reading challenges. For mobile devices, the Beanstack app is also available for free.

Weekly activities and coloring pages

Each week, discover new camp coloring pages, crafts, and other printable activities for all ages. Share your creations with us by posting photos and tagging @JosephineCommunityLibrary on Facebook or Instagram.

Storybook Walk

During the Summer Reading Program, gather the family to read the classic poem, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” by William Wordsworth in downtown Grants Pass and Cave Junction business windows during the month of July.

Food Hero

Food Hero is your go-to site for everything you need to know about food. Find healthy recipes, activities for kids, cultural toolkits, gardening tips, and food budgeting tips. All resources are available in English and Spanish.

Lemonade Day

Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by local businesses, Lemonade Day Grants Pass is working to empower today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs! Support local youth during Lemonade Day on Friday, August 5.

Week 6 in-person "craftivities"

Drop-in to your preferred branch on any open day between 1–4 pm for weekly “craftivities.” Each week during the Summer Reading Program, children and teens will get everything they need for a themed DIY craft or activity.

This week, children can create their own worm and bug magnet. Teens can make their own mini-zine about their favorite topics.

Library of Things

Browse the Library of Things collection to find fun and useful objects for children and adults alike. A sewing machine, a crochet kit, hot glue guns,  and more — check them out at no charge with your library card.

Virtual room

Children, teens, and their families will have fun clicking on items all around this interactive virtual room. Explore and discover new items, resources, and videos themed around the Summer Reading Program.
