Josephine Community Library is ringing in the new year with a brand-new dragon library card design, available beginning January 2026 for new cardholders and community members who need to replace a lost card. To celebrate, all four branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek will host a special one-day sticker giveaway on Saturday, January 3, offering a free limited-edition sticker to anyone who uses the library in person—while supplies last.
“If reading is on your 2026 resolution list, a library card is a great first step,” said Josephine Community Library Associate Director Michelle Rosenberger. “This new design is really just an invitation — come in, get a card, and see what the library has to offer.”
The new library card design is intended for people signing up for their first card or replacing a missing one. Existing library cards will continue to work normally, and current cardholders are not required to switch. The new design will be available as an option, along with the standard design going forward.
Stickers are available at all four Josephine Community Library branches during open hours only on Saturday, January 3, while supplies last. To receive a sticker, community members can sign up for a new library card, renew a library card that has expired, or check out a physical item from the library.
