Josephine Community Library District seeks a dynamic library professional to serve as the Adult Services Manager. This person oversees adult information services for the library system and coordinates the the reference/information desk at the Grants Pass branch, ensuring excellent customer service. The Adult Services Manager is responsible for identifying and interpreting patron needs; planning and implementing programs; providing reference, readers’ advisory, computer, internet, database, and referral services to library patrons; and assisting patrons in material selection. The Adult Services Manager assists the Branch Managers, Collection Development Librarian, and Children’s Librarian in the selection of reference materials, and trains coworkers and volunteers in modern information service delivery. This position helps maintain a team-oriented climate that attracts, keeps, inspires, and motivates quality staff and volunteers and secures the trust and confidence of the Board of Directors.
