Día de los Muertos Bilingual Storytime Celebration
November 2nd @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Celebrate Día de los Muertos with bilingual stories, crafts, and learning! Families will hear stories in English and Spanish, followed by themed crafts featuring Alebrijes — spirit animals that guide ancestors on their journey —and Calaveras — colorful skeleton faces.
Día de los Muertos is a Mexican and Central American holiday rooted in indigenous traditions. It celebrates life and remembers those who have passed away with joy. Families honor loved ones with parades, gatherings, and ofrendas—altars featuring marigold flowers, food, and family photos.
This program is offered at no charge and open to the public. A library card is not needed to participate.
