Introducing Oregon Authors: Jessica Mehta (fiction and poetry)

November 6, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a virtual series this November celebrating Oregon Authors. During each session, enjoy excerpts from the published works of authors including Jessica Mehta, Nancy Lane, Fonda Lee, and Terence Emmons. Learn about their writing processes and publication journeys.

This meetup we meet author Jessica (Tyner) Mehta. Jessica is Aniyuwiya, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and an interdisciplinary artist, poet, and author of several books including The Wrong Kind of Indian, When We Talk of Stolen Sisters, and Savagery. Place, space, and personal ancestry inform much of her work. Mehta was born in Central Point and has lived in the Portland, Oregon area for 25 years.

This program is open to teens and adults. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, email info@josephinelibrary.org or call 541-476-0571.
