Why Aren’t There More Black People in Oregon?

February 23, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The Forest Grove City Library and the Student Multicultural Center at Pacific University host an online event on Tuesday, February 23 at 6:30 pm with educator, poet, writer, public scholar, and Director of the Center for Black Studies at Portland State University Walidah Imarisha, who’ll guide us through a timeline of Black history in Oregon that speaks to issues of race, identity, and power across the state and around the nation.

Professor Imarisha’s appearance was also made possible through the generous financial support of Pacific University and the Friends of the Forest Grove Library.

Watch on Forest Grove City Library’s Facebook page or YouTube channel. No registration necessary.
