Have you noticed the big changes at our libraries? The increased hours and investment in our collections, made possible by the new library district, have translated into happier patrons, and we couldn’t be more delighted!
In addition to more hours and better books, we are thrilled that the extraordinary energy and creativity used in the past for fundraising can now be channeled into providing innovative opportunities for our community.
One such opportunity is Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a book gifting program that mails books to children, at no cost to their families, every month from birth to age five.
In partnership with the four Rotary Clubs in Josephine County, the library is working to bring this wonderful program to our community. We know that not all children can come to the library; through the Imagination Library, we can bring the library to them.
Since 2009, Rotary International has been working with the Imagination Library to promote early childhood reading. Rotary International is a sponsor of the program, and Rotarian Dolly Parton has given away more than 100 million books to children.
Won’t you join us in getting books into the hands of children in the most critical learning years of their lives? All funds raised through this drive will go to support the Imagination Library, and as an added incentive, every dollar you give during this fundraising drive, up to $20,000, will be matched by AllCare Health.
Your donation today will impact and change literacy outcomes in Josephine County for generations to come!
