Encompass Person Centered is a community supports program for adults with intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities.

Mission

Encompass Person Centered is a community supports program for adults with intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities.

Their mission is to provide an environment based on inclusivity, acceptance, person-centered thinking, and an individual's right to choice. Heather and Kati founded Encompass Person Centered to ensure that there is a place in the community where the service delivery model prioritizes inclusivity, acceptance, and client empowerment. Encompass Person Centered is driven by the belief that members of the IDD community have the right to self-determination and the company’s goal is to provide the supports that enable clients to live joyful, fulfilled lives.

Accessibility
Staff are all trained DSPs in accordance to Oregon State Rules and Regulations. All Employees of Encompass are run through the Oregon Department of Human Services ORCHARDS (Oregon Criminal History and Abuse Records Database System). ORCHARDS provides us a portal for submitting background checks and receiving determination results, it was developed on behalf of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the National Background Check Program (NBCP). The system is used by 27 states and U.S. territories that participate in the NBCP. Along with The background checks, all employees are required to have 24 hours of training yearly. This training includes, CPR/First Aid/AED, Oregon core competencies for a direct support professional at a tier 2 Level and OIS (Oregon Interventions System) OIS is Oregon’s system of training and implementing the principles of Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) and Interventions to staff that support adults and children with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) that may display challenging behaviors.
