Josephine Community Library District seeks a dynamic library professional to serve as the Children’s Librarian. This person coordinates and implements library system services for children aged birth to 12 years old. Working directly with children and families, the Children’s Librarian cultivates an environment which provides for enjoyable and convenient access to and use of library resources. He or she fosters community partnerships to enhance the quality and impact of the library’s early literacy programs, and promotes partner resources and services to library patrons. The Children’s Librarian helps maintain a team-oriented climate that attracts, retains, inspires, and motivates quality staff and volunteers and secures the trust and confidence of the Board of Directors.
