When we can’t be there for you with our doors open, Josephine Community Library is committed to enriching the community through the tools we have available. Whether you want to learn a new skill, take an exercise class, practice meditation or study a new language, your librarians are hard at work assembling online resources for our community.

Self Care

Blink Fitness
Access fitness classes you can take at home via Facebook Live. Blink Fitness classes are available weekdays at 5pm. They’ll also give tips to help you stay motivated and answer visitor questions from the comments.

Orangetheory
Orangetheory is sharing a new 30-minute workout video each day. The workouts don’t require any special equipment, but they may feature items we can all find around our house.

CorePower Yoga
CorePower Yoga is offering free access to a collection of online yoga and meditation classes.

Calm.com
Calm.com has assembled some hand-picked content on their block to help support mental health and emotional wellness through this time.

Oregon State University Food Hero
Learn to cook something new and healthy. Find hundreds of healthy, los-cost recipes on Food Hero. All of their recipes are adaptable, too, so you can substitute ingredients you alread have in your fridge, freezer and pantry.

Playbill
Playbill is offering access to 15 Broadway shows that you can watch from home.

Pluto TV
Pluto TV is a free TV streaming service that offers 250+ TV channels and 1,000s of movies.

eBooks and magazines
With your library card you can access Library2go where you can download eBooks and digital audio books onto your eReader, tablet, smartphone, MP3 player or computer. You can also search for and read articles from many popular magazines like Time, National Geographic, The New Yorker, Vogue and more.

The Internet Archive’s National Emergency Library
The Internet Archive’s National Emergency Library is a collection of books that supports emergency remote teaching, research activities, independent scholarship, and intellectual stimulation while universities, schools, training centers, and libraries are closed.

As a library card holder you can access Mango Languages online language learning services.

Gale History
Brush up on your history, or learn something new. Browse journals, magazines, newspapers, videos, audio and more through the library’s vast Gale history and military database.

Blue Zone Recipes
Learn to cook something new and healthy with Blue Zone Recipes’ 30-minute plant-based meals.

In an effort to ensure Americans have necessary access to online resources, qualifying households with students can get 60 days of FREE access with a Spectrum Internet account.

Available for households with K-12 or college students.
Limited to new accounts who do not already have a Spectrum Internet subscription.
Free installation options available.
In addition, Spectrum WiFi hotspots will be open for public use.
