Join us for fun storytimes and activities or check out a themed kit with everything you need to do storytime at home. Siblings are welcome and a library card is not needed to participate in storytimes. Registration is not required for storytime unless otherwise noted.

K9 Reading Buddies

Visit Grants Pass and Williams every Tuesday or Wolf Creek every second Wednesday from 3–4 pm for K9 Reading Buddies. During this program, trained therapy dogs provide a non-intimidating environment for children to learn to read out loud. Young readers have the opportunity to explore language and books during this special storytime.

Sprout a Reader Storytime

Children from birth to age five and their caregivers are invited to join Sprout a Reader Storytime at the Grants Pass branch. Enjoy music, movement, books, and play every Thursday from 10:30–11 am. Caregivers can also pick up tips for creating engaging storytimes at home and earn fun incentives for participating.

Williams Weekly Friday Storytime

Families are invited to visit the Williams branch of Josephine Community Library every Friday from 11 am–12 pm for a weekly themed storytime and craft session in a safe and fun environment.

Illinois Valley Saturday Storytime

Families are invited to drop-in to the Illinois Valley branch of Josephine Community Library every Saturday for themed storytime and crafts all day. Storytime takes place every half hour.

LEGO Build and Play

Join us for LEGO Build and Play the last Saturday of each month at the Grants Pass and Illinois Valley branches. Youth ages 12 and under and their families are invited to drop in anytime between 1 to 2 pm. LEGOs and blocks are available for all skill levels.

Neighborhood Heroes Story Squad

Children and their families are invited to a program series celebrating local “neighborhood heroes” at all four branches. During each session, a different community helper will read a story related to their job and answer questions from participants. Afterwards, children will have a chance to make a craft. Dates, times, and locations vary — view the calendar of events for more information.

Movers and Groovers

Toddlers ages 2–3 and their caregivers are invited to Movers and Groovers Storytime, held Tuesdays from 1–1:30 pm at the Grants Pass branch. Each session includes lively songs, interactive books, and hands-on sensory play or a themed craft.
