The Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Library will reopen January 14 with the completion of the carpet replacement project. The reopening date is four days earlier than originally planned. The project began on December 21 and was funded by Josephine County and the Solid Waste Agency.
The library has opened the book drop for patrons eager to return borrowed items. Patrons may also resume using their online account to select and hold books for pick up. No fines will be incurred for overdue items.
The Grants Pass branch and the rural branches in Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek will be open for regular operating hours. Masks are required inside the buildings per state regulations. Patrons visiting the libraries will be free to browse and access computers with no time restrictions as the library works to return to in-person programs.
