Community members are invited to learn more about navigating health insurance at the free “Navigating Healthcare and Health Insurance” program facilitated by a local doctor from 1–2:30pm on Saturday, October 8 at the Grants Pass branch of Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Library, 200 NW C Street.
Join a panel of local experts, facilitated by Access Family Health’s Tamara Powell, M.D., to gain answers to common questions, such as when to use the emergency room versus urgent care, insurance mechanics, and the benefits and disadvantages of using telehealth. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how the healthcare system and insurance options work to receive the best care available.
Panelists include:
Alex Fauver, Chief Human, Resources Officer at Siskiyou Community Health
Andres Palomera, Patient Services, Representative and Certified OHP Assister at Siskiyou Community Health
Joel Daniels, Chief Advocate at Revolution Benefits Group
Joshua Love, Medicare and Individual, Health Agent at Apex Insurance Group
Registration is not required, and a library card is not necessary to participate.
