Library partners with national history institution for adult program at Climate City Brewing Co.
Community members are invited to participate in a moderated discussion with facilitator and local author Jennifer Roberts, Ph.D surrounding the theme of “Making A More Perfect Union” while enjoying a beer from 5–6:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 16 at Climate City Brewing Co., 509 SW G Street, Grants Pass.
The discussion will use the following guiding question “If a new constitutional convention were called in your lifetime, what issues do you believe would be on the agenda and which would be the most controversial?” Together, the group will brainstorm topics and then “vote” on the top three or four most salient modern issues. Participants will have a chance to discuss, debate, and report back on one of the topics with the rest of the group.

“Making a More Perfect Union” is part of the “We the People: Revisiting the Founding Era” series, grant-funded by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
Revisiting the Founding Era is a three-year national initiative of the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History presented in partnership with the American Library Association, and the National Constitution Center, with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities which uses historical documents to spark public conversations about the Founding Era’s ideas and themes.
