POSTPONED: The Great Book Grab

**Due to rain, this event has been postponed to Sunday, April 28.**

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Bring a bag. Fill it with books. Keep them for free!

The community is invited to grow its at-home book collection during The Great Book Grab at the Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Library from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.
In an effort to make space on the shelves for new materials, the library is asking community members to give some beloved library books a new forever home. Participants will have a chance to “shop” The Great Book Grab’s selection of mostly adult and children’s fiction and fill as many bags as they would like to take home and keep—all at no charge.
Community members who participated during the January 2019 Great Book Grab can expect a much shorter wait this time around as the event will take place outdoors in the rear parking lot—weather permitting.
Since the passing of the library district measure in 2017, the library’s collection development budget has doubled to $175,000 per year. This increase in funds allows the library to meet Oregon public library standards and be responsive to public demand for new materials. In order to make room for new materials, outdated items must be discarded.
The community is encouraged to bring their own bags or boxes to carry books home. Some bags will be provided while supplies last.
It is not necessary to have a current library card to participate in The Great Book Grab.
