Day of the Dead Bilingual Storytime at the library

Library promotes learning about other cultures through special storytime and craft

Families are invited to wear their favorite Day of the Dead inspired costumes and visit the library for Día de los Muertos Bilingual Storytime on Saturday, November 3 from 1–2 p.m. at the Grants Pass branch.
Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead is a Latin American tradition when people take the time to remember family members and friends who have passed away.
Each year the celebration falls on November 1 and towns all over Latin American countries are filled with flowers and special decorations. Families celebrate by singing, dancing, eating favorite foods, and attending parades.
This special storytime and craft session at the library will give families the opportunity to hear stories told in Spanish and English and learn about other cultures.
