Everyday Civics: Shifting power and voting rights for youth

Library partners with Next Up for a voting education program

Join Portland’s Next Up at Grants Pass on Tuesday, September 20 from 4:30–6:30 pm to learn how voting rights have progressed in Oregon, the importance of voting, and how to make change.

Secretary of State Shemia Fagan and Josephine County Clerk Rhiannon Henkels will make special guest appearances to talk about their roles as elected officials and the importance of voting from local communities all the way to the national level. Participants will also have the opportunity to register or preregister to vote depending on age.
