Families with children who will be starting Kindergarten in 2019 are invited to take part in the Kindergarten Backpack Program at the Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Library District.
Bring children to the children’s library anytime during open hours on Saturdays beginning in September for a fun pre-Kindergarten assessment with activities from counting to letter recognition. Participants will leave with a backpack full of activities to help prepare children to start school.
Through this partnership with Southern Oregon Early Learning Services (SOELS), the library will provide developmentally appropriate materials to 4-to 5-year-olds prior to entering Kindergarten as well as support for parents as their child’s first teachers.
