Library invites community members to join free Winter Reading Challenge

Josephine Community Library is inviting community members of all ages to join the Winter Reading Challenge through the end of March. Through the program, participants track time spent reading to earn free books and enter virtual raffles for prizes.

“This year, we’re hoping everyone will make a New Year’s reading goal,” said Youth Services Librarian Susan Davis. “Whether folks want to read with their families, read more books, or try a different genre, we’re hoping the Winter Reading Challenge will help us all stay motivated to reach our goals.”

The reading challenge is hosted virtually through Beanstack, an online portal where participants track reading time, earn badges, and collect raffle tickets for prizes. To join the free Winter Reading Challenge, individuals and families should register at josephinelibrary.beanstack.org. For mobile devices, the Beanstack Tracker app is also available for free.

Prizes include gift cards to local restaurants, book giveaways, and more for all ages.

Phone support is available from library staff Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm at
541-476-0571.
