Library offer service that allows items for checkout: devices, educational toys, instruments
Josephine Community Library is now lending a spectrum of items, from musical instruments and educational toys to crafting machines and a telescope, without the burden of ownership. This collection, called the Library of Things, gives the community access to items without the burden of ownership.
“The Library of Things gives patrons a chance to explore items that one may not have repeated use for,” said Adult Services and Volunteer Manager Amy King. “Patrons can enjoy summer adventures by checking out a waterproof camera, disc golf sets, and a telescope.”
Community members can look forward to entertaining company and keeping children and teens occupied during school breaks with various lawn games including bocce ball, croquet, and horseshoes to be added soon.
