Library offers service that allows items for checkout: Laptops, musical instruments, and more

Josephine Community Library offers a variety of fun and useful items in the Library of Things collection—because libraries aren’t just for books anymore. Items available for check out include PC laptops, STEM-themed toys, a sewing machine, musical instruments, recreational equipment, and much more.

“This collection is another way the library is connecting the community to the things they need,” said Volunteer and Adult Services Manager Amy King. “We’re hoping access to these items without the burden of having to purchase them will make life easier.”

All items can be checked out for 10 days with your library card. Items can be requested online and picked up during curbside and Grab & Go hours at all four library branches. Curbside pick-up is available on Fridays and Saturdays between noon–4 pm at all branches.  Grab & Go hours are Fridays and Saturdays between 1–4 pm at all branches.  Grab & Go hours are also offered for seniors from 1–4 pm at the Grants Pass and Illinois Valley branches.

Online library services such as instant online library card registration, ebooks, audiobooks, virtual entertainment, and learning tools for all ages are available through the library website. Internet and WiFi will remain accessible outside all four library branches 24/7.
