Storytime featuring live music led by award-winning local author
Families are invited to the children’s library at the Grants Pass branch at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25 for a musical storytime with award-winning local children’s author Judy Cox as part of the “Libraries Rock!” Summer Reading Program.
Children will have the chance to learn about the ukulele, listen and sing-along to songs, and hear stories about music during this program. All ages are welcome. Registration is not required.
Author of 27 children’s books, Judy Cox grew up near San Francisco, California and is now living in the Rogue valley. After a career as an elementary school teacher, Cox started writing stories to amuse her son which launched her career as a children’s author. Her books have won several awards, including the Mathical Award, Oregon Spirit Award, Nevada Young Reader’s Award, Children Choice list, ABA Pick of the Lists, CBC Best Books of 2000, and the Parent’s Guide to Children’s Media Award.
