New library hours began this week

Libraries open for a total of 100 hours across library system

The rural branches of Josephine Community Library District (JCLD) located in Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek began their new, expanded hours of operation this week.
The new hours for each rural branch are as follows:

  • Illinois Valley: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 a.m.–5 p.m.; Wednesdays from 11a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Williams: Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Saturdays from 1–6 p.m.; Fridays from 11a.m.–4 p.m.
  • Wolf Creek: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1–6 p.m.; Fridays from 11a.m.–4 p.m.

The Grants Pass branch is slated to expand hours beginning March 20, opening for 40 hours per week for the first time since the 1990s. The new hours at the Grants Pass branch are as follows: Tuesday and Thursdays from 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
New hours were selected after analyzing data from a community-wide survey conducted in August of 2017 and consulting with an advisory committee made up of community members and volunteers. For more information, contact the library at info@josephinelibrary.org or
