Notice of Hearing: Grants Pass City Council

April 6, 2021 in

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds
2021-2022 Year 2 Annual Action Plan Needs and Priorities

Each year, the City of Grants Pass receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to be used for projects which predominantly benefit low- to moderate income persons, prevent/eliminate blight, or meet urgent community needs which pose a serious threat to the health, safety and welfare of citizens.

In 2015 and 2019, the City adopted 5-Year Consolidated Plans (CP) which guide use of CDBG funds over the respective five-year plan periods. The City also prepared Annual Action Plans (AAP) for each year of those five-year Plans allocating annual grant funds for specific activities addressing identified needs.

The City is now preparing a new Year 2 AAP for the upcoming 2021-2022 Program Year.  To assist with development of the 2021-2022 Year 2 AAP, the City posted a Survey on the City’s webpage to assist in determining those needs and priorities most urgent in the community. The comments and suggestions will be incorporated into the new 2021-2022 Year 2 AAP. The City Council will hold a public hearing to review the responses to the Survey and listen for any suggestion/comments from the public at this hearing. The public may live stream the hearing from the City’s Webpage or watch on Channel 183 the local Cable -TV carrier.
