Oregon Poetry Association to host poetry seminars at library

Partnership brings series of poetry seminars to Grants Pass in 2019

The community is invited to the first in a series of six bi-monthly free poetry seminars from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 23 in the bookstore at the Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Library.
Facilitated by Oregon Poetry Association President Lisa Baldwin, participants will learn about well-known poets through readings and style analysis, then write their own poem in the style of the featured poet. Contemporary poet Naomi Shehab Nye will be the focus of the first in the “Something About Poetry” series sponsored by Oregon Poetry Association.
All seminars in the “Something About Poetry” series will be held in the bookstore at the Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Library. To register and for more information, contact Oregon Poetry Association President Lisa Baldwin at 541-476-6671 or leb.97527@gmail.com or contact the library at 541-476-0571 or info@josephinelibrary.org.
