#SorryNotSorry: When, Why, and How We Apologize

An Oregon Humanities Think & Drink event

Ever wonder what public figures are doing when they say they’re sorry? The art of public apology and “sounding apologetic” is a fairly new phenomenon. How do we know if we are witnessing sincerity?

The community is invited to join Josephine Community Library for an after-work drink and snack as Edwin Battistella, author of “Sorry About That: The Language of Public Apology,” talks with local writer Jennifer Roberts, PH.D. from 5:30–7 p.m. on Thursday, August 23 at Climate City Brewing in Grants Pass.
Sponsored by Oregon Humanities, Think & Drink brings people together to spark provocative conversations about big ideas (and to enjoy a drink or two).
No host bar and light appetizers provided.
Due to limited space, registration is required for this program. To RSVP and for more information, email info@josephinelibrary.org or call 541-476-0571.
