General cancer support groups meet every second Wednesday, 2 to 3 pm.

This easy-to-use online community resource directory is curated by our librarians and updated regularly with the most current contact information as well as hours, locations, and website address. You can browse by category or search by keyword. And, if you want to add an organization to the list, complete the “Submit a Listing” form — our librarians will review it and follow up with you.

This group provides emotional support, connection, information and resources for people with cancer and their caregivers. No registration required.
CASA of Josephine County, founded in 1984, is a non-profit organization responsible for recruiting, training and supporting the work of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers. CASA volunteers do what no one else does- they donate their time to act as independent eyes and ears of the court and speak solely for the best interest of children and youth in the custody of DHS.

With the help of our dedicated volunteers, we distribute food to low and no-income individuals and families in communities all over Josephine County. We have changed the way we build food boxes by growing our own local grocery store produce in our garden at Raptor Creek Farm along with other established programs to end hunger in our community. Our local food bank has provided and distributed millions of pounds of food each year.
Free needle exchange services. Free naloxone/narcan. Free rapid-screening for HIV, hepatitis C, and syphilis. Free referrals, education, and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Located in Immanuel United Methodist Church.
The Planning Division provides information to the general public and the development community on the City's land use policies, Comprehensive Plan, and Statewide Planning goals. It implements the plans through the daily application of the Zoning and Development Code, which involves the processing of a variety of land use applications ranging from zoning clearances, subdivisions to variances. The division reviews all site plans to ensure the proposed development meets the criteria for zoning, setback, access, and other regulations established by the City Council for safe, orderly growth.

Grants are awarded in the areas of human services, public safety, and faith based programs. The Foundation has an online application process, and the Foundation has a Spring and a Fall grant cycle. Applications are due on or before January 31 and July 31. Final grant decisions will be announced 9-12 weeks after each deadline.
