Disability Rights of Oregon
Our legal advocacy spans every type of disability, at every age, in every type of place. To help the greatest number of Oregonians with disabilities, we advocate for lasting change through:
- Public Education and Outreach
- Information and referral, Including Publishing Know Your Rights Guides
- Legislative Advocacy
- Monitoring Conditions Inside Institutions
- Direct Client Representation
- Class-Action Litigation
Mission
Disability rights and other civil rights laws are rooted in a fundamental ideal: that every person, irrespective of their inherent differences, is equal—regardless of where we come from, how we worship, how we look, who we love, or whether we have a disability. Honoring our common humanity is a foundation for our vision of the world.
