July 2025Storybook Walk

What is a Storybook Walk?

A Storybook Walk is an outdoor reading and walking experience of a children’s book or poem with the “pages” of the book placed in different areas along a walking path.  Families are encouraged to take a stroll and read the featured story at their own pace.

2025 featured stories

The 2025 Pop-Up Storybook Walk features a new bilingual story called Dragon Jr. Follows the Clues/Dragón Jr. Sigue las Pistas by Graciela Repun. Dragon Jr. Follows the Clues is a story about a little dragon and his ability to see beyond what is right in front of him. His skills come in handy as he joins the biggest competition in his town.

Other featured stories during the 2025 Storybook Walk include:

  • Spanish Tortilla/La Tortilla de Papas by Sandra Siemens
  • I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth
  • Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson
