The library offers many useful tools to help you learn how to use technology.

Computer Basics Drop-in Lab

Drop in to the WorkSource Oregon computer Lab twice a month to boost your computer skills with an instructor from Josephine Community Library. Practice using the internet, learn how to copy/paste, try uploading and downloading, and more. This free, hands-on program is open to all — no library card or WorkSource Oregon enrollment needed.

Classes are from 2–3:30 pm every other Thursday in the computer lab at WorkSource Oregon, 1569 NE F St. Grants Pass, OR 97526. Registration is not required — space is limited.

Northstar

With your library card, strengthen your work credentials, round out your digital skillset, and learn the ins and outs of social media with Northstar Digital Literacy. Take online assessments and strengthen your knowledge of basic computer digital literacy standards and modules in essential computer skills, software skills, and technology in daily life.

PCs for People

PCs for People provides low-cost computers and mobile hotspots to those who need them. To qualify, participants must already be enrolled in a government-based assistance program or have a qualifying household income.

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more.

RASCAL

RASCAL aims to assist seniors (50+) in learning how to use computers and other technology related devices. They host weekly meetings and classes that cover Windows operating systems for PCs, Apple/Mac operating systems, MS Office applications, Email, Internet browsers and many more. RASCAL also provides free monthly discussion groups covering Android, Windows and Apple devices and a Dial-a-Helper service, a technology assistance over the phone, through email, or in person.
