Library and Rotary raise $58,000 so far

The library and the four Rotary Clubs in Josephine County have raised $58,000 towards their goal of $200,000 for the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library five-year program.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails books to children, ages birth to five, at no cost to families thanks to contributions from individuals and sponsors such as  AllCare HealthHart Insurance, and Oregon Pacific Financial Advisors, Inc.
The cost of the program is $25 per child per year. All funds raised through the Spring Fundraising Drive will go to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
More than 700 children have enrolled since the program launched on May 1.
“We’ve had more kids sign up than anticipated, which is wonderful and we are asking for donations to support the program,” said Cynthia Harelson, Grants Pass Rotary president.
To make a donation, please send a check or money order payable to “Josephine County Library Foundation” to 200 NW C Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526 or make a secure online donation at josephinelibrary.org.
