Josephine Community Library book drops now open 24/7

Due to updated guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), book drops at all four library branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams and Wolf Creek are now open 24/7.

Recent information released by the CDC suggests that surface transmission of the COVID-19 virus is even less likely than previously thought. In addition, due to the natural lag between return and release of library materials, the OHA finds that no quarantine of library materials is necessary. These changes allow all library book drops to reopen without restriction.

Library staff and volunteers will continue to utilize safety protocols including frequent hand washing, wearing masks, physical distancing, and cleaning items as needed to ensure patron safety.
