Library facilities reopen to public for limited hours

Library offers computer appointments and limited access to patrons

Josephine Community Library moves forward in its Reopening Plan this week, entering Chapters 4 and 5 and offering computer appointments and limited access to patrons at all four branch facilities in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek.

During Chapters 4 and 5, patrons will be able to schedule 30-minute computer appointments on Wednesdays and reenter the buildings during designated times on Fridays and Saturdays. The library will continue to offer curbside pick-up and printing service. View the entire list of services during COVID.

During Grab & Go hours, restrooms and seating are unavailable. Restrooms are unavailable during computer appointment hours. Special senior Grab & Go hours for patrons age 55+ are offered on Thursdays at the Grants Pass and Illinois Valley branches between 1–4 pm.

Registration is required for 30-minute computer appointments on Wednesdays between 1–4 pm.

The following services are available at all four library branches:

  • Wednesdays: 30-minute computer appointments between 1–4 pm. Registration is required. To register, patrons can contact their preferred branch or email info@josephinelibrary.org.
  • Thursdays and Fridays: Book drops are open all day.
  • Fridays and Saturdays: Curbside pick-up between noon–4 pm.
  • Fridays and Saturdays: Facilities open to the public between 1–4 pm during Grab & Go hours. Patrons will have the opportunity to browse the library and check out items in person for 30-minute periods. Registration is not required.

While library facilities are restricted due to public health concerns, the following alternative services are available from all branches: curbside pick-up, limited Grab & Go hours, computer appointments, printing service, free instant online library cards to access ebooks and audiobooks, virtual programs for all ages, community information database, and more. WiFi remains accessible outside all four library branches 24/7. Library phone lines and email are open for tech support at all four branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek.
