Library offers live virtual tutoring and homework help tool through website

Josephine Community Library offers free, live virtual tutoring and homework help in all academic subjects, for kindergarten through college level students. The online tool called Brainfuse HelpNow is available from the public library website, josephinelibrary.org, with a library card.

“Brainfuse HelpNow is such a helpful tool for students and parents, especially as we’re gearing up to start a new school year,” said Library Director Kate Lasky. “They even offer chess tutoring for all ages which our patrons really enjoy.”

Community members can access Brainfuse HelpNow from the Online Learning Resources section under the Education/Research menu at josephinelibrary.org. After using the account number found near the barcode of their Josephine Community Library card to login, patrons can access real-time assistance through the intuitive Brainfuse online classroom.

Brainfuse HelpNow is one of many ongoing digital resources provided to library cardholders offering a unique tutoring, homework help, and studying suite, including video chat with live tutors in English and Spanish. Tutors are trained to not provide answers, but to help users master a problem’s underlying academic concepts. In addition to virtual tutoring, learners can access a comprehensive library of lessons, videos, practice tests, and flashcards by grade in a wide range of academic subjects.
