Free Tax Assistance Afternoons

An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Friday, repeating until April 5, 2024
Get help with your tax questions and file for free with United Community Action Network (UCAN) at the library.
UCAN VITA volunteers will help participants who want to file their own taxes set up a profile with TaxSlayer software to file for free — some computer skills required. Appointments can also be made with an in-person tax preparer to have them file for you — no computer skills necessary. Appointments are for taxpayers who receive basic documents including W-2, Interest, Dividends, 1099-R, 1099-NEC, or Social Security.
Have a tax-related question? Drop in anytime during the program to get answers to questions like “Do I need to file?” “Who can I claim as a dependent?” or “What is the kicker?” To make an appointment, call UCAN at 541-223-9597.
