GP Friends of the Library “Free For All” screening
April 12th @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Join the Grants Pass Friends of the Library on Saturday, April 12 from 10–11:30 pm for a screening of Independent Len’s PBS special, “Free for All.” This documentary premieres April 29, but in partnership with Southern Oregon PBS, the Grants Pass Friends of the Library is able to offer a sneak peek at this ground-breaking episode.
The documentary “tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today’s librarians who service the public despite working in a contentious age of closures and book bans, meet those who created a civic institution where everything is free and the doors are open to all.”
