District information

Josephine Community Library District was formed in 2017 with a permanent, dedicated tax of assessed property value for those living within the library district boundary. Funds raised by the tax can only be used for the library district and cannot be diverted to other county departments. This is enforced by annual financial audits.

Strategic direction

The district board’s strategic planning guides the library’s operations and budgeting. An annual report details the progress toward stated objectives.

Budget and finance

The district is supported by a permanent tax rate of 39 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value for property owners within the district.
